Artist:  JAZZMOSS

Title:  Jazzmoss

Label:  Global Fusion Music & Arts
Cat No GFMACD011

The basis of Jazzmoss is a collaboration between Greenwich based singer/poet Louisa Le Marchand and Ugandan pianist and multi-intrumentalist Kaz Kasozi. On this debut album they have been joined by a superb line-up of British jazz legends :

sax player Art Themen, trumpeter Henry Lowther, guitarist Jim Mullen, drummer Trevor Tomkins, clarinetist and sax player Mix Amylo, bass players Liran Donin and Steve Watts, drummers Ed Williams and Mike Collins; with Gill Swan guesting on backing vocals.

The studio album features 10 songs by Louisa and music arranged & produced by Kaz. Jazzmoss has been described as lyrical jazz with a light, melodic, warm summer feel, but be prepared for some brilliantly poetic lyrics; haunting jazz melodies; inspired, spine tingling solos and dynamic interplay from all present.

There will be appearing at Ludlow Jazz Festival on June 28, 2008 - followed by an album launch gig at the Crypt Jazz Club in Camberwell, South East London on the 4th July. Jazzmoss will then tour the UK for a further 8 dates.
