Cuban singer-songwriter-musician, Yusa releases her third album ‘Haiku’ - following the success of her previous releases ‘Yusa’ (Tumi 112) and ‘Breathe’ (Tumi 131). The new album, recorded in Cuba and mixed in Rio de Janeiro and produced by Alę Siqueira & Yusa, is filled with her unique blend of the traditional and modern sounds of Cuba, as well as touches of jazz, folk and pop.

Yusa’s songs are imbued with the spirit of haiku, the minimal Japanese poetic form - and she describes her third album as ‘intimista’ : each song an emotional snapshot of the inner world of the heart, like a butterfly momentarily caught, its wings still fluttering.

Yusa plays many of the instruments herself (bass, Cuban tres guitar, Fender Rhodes, percussion) inviting in friends and collaborators to add glimmering threads to the magical weave - including members of pioneering Afro-Cuban rock group Síntesis. She also sings one song in English.

Wide press coverage expected - and Yusa has an 8-venue UK tour in late May, early June 2008.
