o Originally born in Mississippi, guitarist-singer Little Freddie King has become a New Orleans living legend - perhaps not surprising since Lightnin’ Hopkins was his cousin and he played with Slim Harpo, and many other blues stars.
o His style is no frills, dirty, relaxed, straight-up blues - much the same way that he’s played since the 1950s - but for those who want that a bit updated, there are also three remix tracks on the Messin’ Around the House album, by Detroit DJ Tino Gross.
o Little Freddie’s fine band on this album are : ‘Wacko’ Wade Wright on drums, Anthony ‘Skeet’ Anderson, bass, and Bobby Lewis Ditullio on harmonica. Little Freddie got his name from his guitar playing being compared to Freddie King, who he did once play bass for, when the great man was staying in New Orleans.
